Hi and welcome to the first review on the new 'carptails' site. I have been using some products from a company called CARP ALLEY and felt that they were worth a mention. The main products that I've been using are the run rings, lead core leaders, baiting tools and PVA tape. The run rings are excellent they run freely on all main lines and also on braid, they can also be used to make a back lead that can be slid a long way out enabling you to really pin the line down in the swim. This is something that is especially useful in the winter when there is less weed and line concealment is I think very important.

The lead core leaders are again very good, they sink like a stone and have a nice feel to them. I have used the ready spliced looped versions, these were bought when I had run out of my normal lead core  and couldn't get the usual sort. I must admit I didn't expect much for the price but have been very impressed. I have since bought a spool of the lead core and now splice the loops myself, it is the easiest I have used for splicing.

The baiting needles were again bought because I had lost my old faithful and needed a new one. What I like is that they are not too big and don't split the smaller baits. I have a preference for air drying baits and even these don't split using this needle.

PVA tape, what can be said. It dissolves in cold water and is easy to use, being reasonably strong you can mount baits with little fear of the stringer falling apart.
